Current Events
Lt. Howard Bischoff, 58, and firefighters Daniel Heglund, 58, and Robert Leaver, 56, died within hours of one another Monday. Bischoff had colon cancer, Heglund had esophageal cancer and Leaver had leukemia. Many believe the diseases were related to their time serving as first responders at the World Trade Center in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. FDNY officials say 850 firefighters and ambulance workers at the scene have been diagnosed with cancer since then, related to that work at Ground Zero.
Devon Still’s story has dominated national headlines all season after the Cincinnati Bengals originally cut him before keeping him on the practice squad in part so that he could retain his insurance to pay for Leah’s medical bills. Leah was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma. The pediatric cancer left her with a 50-50 chance of survival. Still’s mission this past month has been to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. The Bengals assisted with those efforts two weeks ago when they started selling his jersey out of their pro shop. All proceeds are going to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Great ambiance and a lot of new ideas to bringing awareness to the immediate needs for “Saving Lives & Properties” in the City of LA. Look for new PSA’s coming soon!!!!
